Today I realize why it is often said that the one’s we expect the most from, are probably the ones who end up disappointing us. It saddens me that sometimes those we come to rely on, have such pressing insecurities. Insecurities which stop them from accepting that someone else’s existence (in whatever way), might be more fulfilling than their own. This is why it’s important to build one’s own character so strong, such that the actions and successes of others make us happy, rather than envious. Identify the people around you who are 'genuinely' happy for how far you have come in your life.
